What To Download From BookBudLC And Where It Goes In KDP

When you finalize a book in BookBudLC, you receive three practical assets: an interior PDF, a cover PDF, and a metadata CSV. The interior PDF is the inside of the paperback. The cover PDF is the full wrap, including back cover, spine, and front cover. The metadata CSV is a convenience file with the title, subtitle, description, keywords, and category suggestions.

In KDP, you create a new paperback title in your own account, enter the metadata, choose the trim and print settings, then upload the interior and cover files. Always preview the files in KDP before publishing.

The interior PDF

The interior PDF contains the pages readers write in, solve, color, or use. BookBudLC builds the file to the trim size you selected, such as 6 x 9 or 8.5 x 11. It also handles page count, margins, page numbers, title pages, and KDP-friendly PDF output.

Upload this file in the Paperback Content step in KDP. Match the KDP trim size to the trim you selected in BookBudLC. If the trim does not match, the previewer may show margin warnings or reject the upload.

The cover PDF

The cover PDF is not just a front cover image. It is a full paperback wrap: back cover, spine, front cover, and bleed. The spine width depends on the final page count, so a KDP cover template generator has to know the trim, paper type, and pages. BookBudLC handles that math for the cover it creates.

Upload the cover PDF in KDP's cover section. Use the KDP previewer to check that text is inside the safe area, that the front cover looks centered, and that the back cover leaves room for Amazon's barcode placement.

The metadata CSV

The metadata CSV is there so you do not lose the sales copy generated during the workflow. It includes the title, subtitle, description, keywords, and categories that you can paste into KDP. It is not a file Amazon imports automatically; it is a reference sheet for your listing.

Review the metadata before publishing. A good KDP description generator gives you a strong draft, but the publisher should still check claims, remove anything that sounds exaggerated, and make sure the title follows Amazon's rules.

Where common KDP tools fit

Authors often search for separate tools like a KDP cover generator, KDP interior template generator, KDP barcode generator, KDP book description generator, or KDP HTML generator. BookBudLC replaces part of that stack for low-content paperback projects by producing the interior, the full-wrap cover, and plain listing copy in one workflow.

You still use Amazon KDP itself for the final upload, pricing, territories, AI-content disclosure, and publishing decision. BookBudLC does not upload on your behalf and does not guarantee review approval, ranking, or sales.

Before you click publish

  • Confirm the trim size and page count in KDP match the files.
  • Open the online previewer and inspect front matter, page numbers, margins, spine, and back cover.
  • Answer Amazon's AI-content questions honestly if the book uses AI-generated text or images.
  • Set a price that makes sense for the format. Many low-content paperback publishers aim for pricing that supports the higher royalty band when practical.
  • Order a proof copy for important brands or paid ad campaigns.

If your book uses AI-generated text or images, answer Amazon's AI-content questions honestly. The file generator is only one part of the publishing process; the publisher still controls the listing.
